What is Antilla Salsa Barcelona?
Antilla Salsa Barcelona, the most veteran Hall of our city, the Pioneer of the Salsa ein the Catalan capital, the Hall that goes marking the rhythm of the music and of the Latin environment from 1993.
* Record Guinness in 1994 with "The longest sound ", 24 uninterrupted hours of live music with the performance of more than 100 musicians of diverse nationalities, being relieved without rest, disinterestedly, to manage to reach the goal proposed by the Hall "Antilla Cosmopolita" of that time.
Stage by which have passed the majority of the groups and orchestras of the Latin and creole panorama of Barcelona, stage that throughout the years has offered international concerts to the public, with figures and groups of the level of N.G. La Banda, Paiulito and his Elite, Caridad Hierrezuelo, Isaac Delgado, Omara Portuondo, Estudiantina Invasora, Sisters Ferrín, Son de la Loma... and has received visits of established artists as Johnny Pacheco, Ismael Miranda, Arturo Sandoval, Yuri Buenaventura, Grupo Madeira, Jose Alberto El Canario, Moncho, Caco Senante...
Nowadays, Antilla is the warmest Discotheque of Latin music of the city with its exclusive, inimitable atmosphere, with two musical different environments in the Hall 1 and Hall 2, with free classes of dance throughout the whole night, with activities in which everybody can participate, with our tireless entertainers and Salsa-Boys... A place where you can dance and taste the genuine Caribbean cocktails in a cosmopolitan and West Indian atmosphere.
School of Dance Antilla
Our School of Dance organizes the courses quarterly, and in the summer it also offers Intensive Courses and free Workshops for those pupils who want to take advantage of their vacation period. Our School of dance receives pupils of all levels and for the different specialties and rhythms.
Besides the normal courses, the School designs special Courses for groups, adapting the schedules and the teaching staff to the needs of the group. Likewise, particular Classes offer for all the persons interested in advancing more rapidly and in individual form.
The pupils of the School, besides the classes, enjoy big advantages, as the free entry to our Hall, Antilla Salsa Barcelona, and the School, during all the year, organizes in their honor diverse parties with dance exhibitions, gifts and draws.
From the foundation of the School, we have strained in creating a cosy and unique atmosphere for all those persons who want to learn or to improve the dance of the diverse Latin rhythms.
It is for all this, and for the quality and professionalism of our teaching staff, that the School of Dance Antilla has won a well-deserved reputation and we feel very proud of that day after day there grows the confidence of our numerous pupils.
